Bowfinger stars Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy in an amusing
tale of filmaking. Steve Martin plays Bobby Bowfinger, a
less-than-suave film maker that comes across the script of the
lifetime. One catch: the studio won't buy his film unless it includes
famous actor Kit Ramsey, played by Eddie Murphy. Mixed throughout a
hodgepodge of slapstick antics and dirty innuendo pervades a mixture
inspirational and degrading messages. Bobby Bowfinger demonstrates a
sense of responsibility and purpose when he reveals that he has saved
money from age 9 to produce a film. Conversely, he shows a deep
dishonesty when he includes Kit in the film--without his knowledge.
Each character in the film shows the same paradox--a mix of good and
bad morals. They leave the casual filmgoer confused and disturbed.
Despite this, the movie is honestly funny and entertaining;see the
movie but wait until it hits the shelves at Blockbuster. No potential
headache is worth $7.50..

This movie, although lacking in morals in several places as
noted by the first reviewer, mocks the lack of morals. Also, it makes
fun of scientology and how confused celebrities are drawn into it.
